I have been practicing law for over 14 years, and through involvement with professional and community organizations, I am qualified to serve as the District 6 Trustee. I am a family law attorney and have my own firm, Law Office of Shannon Stein. My day is full of interacting with lawyers, judges and people from all walks of life.
I feel that I will be a strong trustee because of my dedication to making sure that our third branch of government does not fall “off the map.” The judicial branch is the direct pipeline that most citizens have to our system of government and it is vital that it continues to receive the funding and visibility to continue to be strong and be stronger in the future. I also hope to make the State Bar more relevant to our members.
I previously was the Santa Clara County Bar Association President (SCCBA) in 2011. I was president-elect in 2010 and treasurer in 2009. I also have been the chair of various committees within the SCCBA and continue to be an active member. I have been recognized as a Rising Star and as a Super Lawyer for many years. I am also an executive member of the Bench-Bar Coalition. I was given the honor of Barrister Leader of the year in 2008 by the SCCBA.
Most importantly, I truly care about the legal profession and the clients we serve. I know that I can represent the interests of District 6 members well.
