The candidates are: District 1 (Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Solano, and Sonoma counties): Loren Kieve of San Francisco, Mark Ressa of San Ramon, Perry L. Segal of Redwood City, Sean M. SeLegue of San Francisco and Terry Wiley of San Leandro. District 3 (Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo and Yuba counties.): John Appelbaum of Sacramento and Joanna Mendoza of Granite Bay. Ballots will be mailed to members on Dec. 31, and State Bar members have until Feb. 29 to cast their votes, either electronically or by mail. Votes will be counted in early March. Candidates are scheduled to serve three-year terms in both districts. All the new trustees will take their oaths in October at the State Bar Annual Meeting, which lasts from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2, 2016. The Board of Trustees meets approximately eight times a year to consider organizational, policy and regulatory matters.
