State Bar of California Annual Ethics Symposium on April 6 Thursday, March 22, 2018 Categories: News Releases The State Bar of California will hold its annual Ethics Symposium on April 6. The day-long event provides training on legal ethics and guidelines for practicing attorneys. The training topics will cover a range of topics including addressing sexual harassment and bias, attorney-client privilege, and other professional and ethical obligations of the 190,000 active attorneys licensed in California. The 22nd annual Ethics Symposium will be held at the State Bar's San Francisco office on Friday April 6. The symposium will also be available online via livestream. The symposium will include the following panels: Ethics Update: What You Need to Know Joint Defense Agreements: Intertwined Ethical and Strategic Considerations The Law and Ethics of Attorney Mistakes Prohibited Discrimination and Sexual Harassment in the Legal Profession The symposium will offer up to 3.75 hours of MCLE credit in legal ethics and 1.25 hours of credit in Recognition and Elimination of Bias.
