The State Bar of California Board of Trustees faces many challenges as it strives to meet its mission of public protection and enhancement of the administration of justice. Concerns, such as shrinking budgets with expanding demands and the desire to keep pace with legal technology, require forward thinking policies and practices to ensure the State Bar upholds its high standard of professionalism and service.
As a career prosecutor with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, the protection of the public through the administration of justice has been the focus of my career. For 26 years, I have served the district attorney in the following assignments: Head of the Felony Trial Team, Director of Recruitment and Development and presently as Assistant District Attorney in Charge of the Juvenile Division. I also volunteer in the community, with a proven track record of collaboration with local leaders and organizations to achieve common goals.
As your District 1 representative, my goals are to improve transparency and access to justice, help ensure that California’s Courts are adequately funded, to work toward admissions regulation reform, to increase mentorship opportunities for members and to increase diversity in the legal profession. My passion for public service drew me to the district attorney’s office, and my love and respect for the legal profession to the Board of Trustees position. I will continue to represent District 1 with drive and commitment. Thank you for your support.
