The State Bar Board and its subentities hold scheduled meetings via Zoom and in person throughout the year. The State Bar welcomes public comment in these meetings either in person, over the telephone, or by videoconference.
If you are a public participant or presenter who wishes to participate remotely in a Board or subentity meeting, you may find these tips helpful:
To observe the meeting:
Download the Zoom app: If you do not already have the Zoom application, we highly recommend you download and install it.
Join the meeting on Zoom: The Zoom link and webinar ID are posted on the agenda for every meeting.
At the posted time the meeting is scheduled to begin, click the link posted on the agenda. Zoom will open automatically. Alternatively, you can open your Zoom app and click “Join Meeting.” Your app will then prompt you to enter the webinar ID to join the meeting.
Dial 669-900-9128. When prompted, please enter the meeting ID posted on the agenda, followed by # to join the meeting.
The Board and subentities hear public comment at each meeting. This webpage outlines the overall public comment guidelines.
If you join the meeting remotely and wish to make public comment, please listen for the meeting chair to introduce the allotted period for public comment.
To comment, you must “Raise Your Hand” when the public comment period opens so you can get in line to speak.
When called upon, you will need to unmute your microphone. After the allotted time, staff will mute your microphone.
