CA Supreme Court—Attorney Member Term: 10/11/2015 to 9/17/2026 Committees: Board Executive
Brandon Stallings is an attorney member of the State Bar of California Board of Trustees, appointed by the California Supreme Court in 2018 and to a second term on the Board in 2022. The Court appointed him vice-chair in 2021 and in 2022. The Court appointed him chair in 2023.
Mr. Stallings is a Deputy District Attorney at the Kern County District Attorney’s Office and is currently assigned to the Special Victims Unit.
A longtime Central Valley resident, Mr. Stallings also brings to the Board his perspective of the unique access challenges of rural California. Mr. Stallings brings an understanding of governance, board leadership, and the necessity of training young attorneys to represent the legal profession in a manner that personifies high ethical standards. He strives to make those attorneys understand the needs of their local communities and be in a position of leadership to make decisions that improve their communities.
In addition to serving as the Board’s Vice-Chair, Mr. Stallings has chaired the Ad Hoc Commission on the Discipline System, the Regulation and Discipline Committee, the Chief Trial Selection Committee, the General Counsel Selection Committee, Programs Committee, and Audit Committee.
Mr. Stallings earned his juris doctor from Oak Brook College of Law in Fresno, California.
