Wall Admission Certificate

As a State Bar of California licensee, you can order a Wall Certificate to display in your office or home. The certificate will feature your official name as it appears in your public My State Bar Profile. Please note that we can only send the certificate to the address listed in your public profile, so it is recommended to verify and update your information before submitting your order. Log into your My State Bar Profile (MSBP) to update your mailing address.

It's important to note that only one Wall Certificate can be in your possession at any time.

You can choose from two types of certificates: Standard and Custom.

Standard Wall Certificates Custom Wall Certificates
The standard wall certificate is printed on white cardstock paper, measuring 11” x 15.5” inches, with a printed border. While the text is not raised, your name and date of admission are underlined and lithographically impressed to match the certificate text. The certificate also includes the embossed gold Supreme Court seal. It is produced by the California Supreme Court at no cost to you and takes approximately ten (10) weeks* to process. The custom wall certificate is printed on cream parchtone paper and measures 11” x 14”. The text on the certificate is raised, except for the date and your name, which is printed in the elegant Old English font. The certificate also includes the embossed gold Supreme Court seal. The cost for this certificate is $92 and takes approximately six (6) weeks* to process.

*For certificates sent to international addresses: 

  • Add four additional weeks for processing.
  • Please note that tracking numbers for Custom Wall Certificate orders with international addresses are available only upon request. Tracking numbers are not available for Standard Wall Certificate orders.

You can order their Wall Certificate online through logging into the Admissions Applicant Portal and following the instructions below:

  • Login to Admissions Applicant Portal using your Office of Admissions account. Do not create a new account as licensees can only order with their historical Office of Admissions account.
  • Select View Forms under the Apply Icon to view available California State Bar applications and forms.
  • Under Services, select either the Standard or Custom Wall Certificate Request.
  • Select Launch Application to proceed to the Wall Certificate Request.

 Additional information

  • The dimensions of the wall certificates are significant (Standard - 11"x15.5"; Custom - 11"x14") and they may not fit in a PO Box.
  • In the event that you need a new certificate due to a name change, loss, or damage, please send the original certificate to the following address prior to ordering a new one:

  • Admissions Wall Certificates and Legal Specialization Wall Certificates are two separate certificates. Admissions Wall Certificates are available to all California licensees, while LS Wall Certificates are exclusively for California specialists and are processed separately. To order a LS Wall Certificate replacement, complete the Legal Specialization Replacement Certificate form.
